What Will Happen When Planets Align in 2012?
The Mayan prophecies as well as our modern-day predictions about planet alignment in 2012 is called pole shifting. This theory refers to the changes that will happen in the North and South poles that could cause earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, typhoons and other natural calamities that could wipe out entire populations and settlements.
The ancient Mayan people had very good knowledge of the solar system which eventually led to their discovery of the “long count calendar” and has become popularly known as the Mayan calendar. Students of ancient civilizations would definitely want to study this interesting subject further.
This much talked-about planet alignment prophesied to take place on December 21, 2012 is the main highlight of all events predicted to happen on that fateful day from total illumination of planet earth to unprecedented disasters and catastrophes.
These events anticipated to take place in December 2012 have previously been prophesied by ancient peoples like the Mayans and Zulus. There are many other predictions about the 2012 end time similar to the planet alignment prophecies. What is important is that we should be prepared for any future eventuality particularly the December 2012 end of the world.

It almost looks that it is high time this kind of an end did come! No two nations or peoples seem to be willing to ‘live together’; the Christians want to make conversions since they believe they ARE the religion – at any cost – money that could go to help is going into making conversions; the Mohammedan religion is more narrow-minded to be willing enough to kill those who are not ready to convert to their religion – if they can’t convert even ‘by the sword’, they happily destroy what they could not create; every nation (and region!) wants to go nuclear – to “show fear in a handful of dust” TO OTHERS (ONLY)(!) …….. aren’t we READYING for a worse catastrophe if ‘2012′ does not happen? Better that it does! God, do something; all of us depend on You – MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

Those of us who have been around from the 1960s have seen a dozen predictions about the ‘End of the World’ when at school and later. I remember one in 1972, another in 1979, and then in ‘81, ‘87, ‘92, ‘98, 2k, 2002 and 2005 – and now, 2012. (My mother had told me about similar ‘ends of the world’ in 1961 and ‘65.) Like every other year, these years too saw tough times, maybe, on a ’slightly larger scale’ and life went on. One thing is, man doesn’t learn from past mistakes! So the same or similar things, natural and un-natural will go on in the future too. That way, nothing to worry about 2012! We can (happily) look forward to greater disasters, mostly man-made, soon after 2012 also!!
